Tropical Storm Ian is a very great threat to Sanibel. This morning, I downloaded a map showing the consensus track passing over Captiva/North Captiva. So, I'm concerned about our timeshare, everyone who lives on the island, and the possibility of great disruption. I am not a Sanibel resident (yet!), but Sanibel is my favorite place on earth. I was away from home on a business trip when Ian hit, and I remember sitting in a conference room watching the street cameras on Sanibel until they cut off. Answer 1 of 2: Just stayed at newly remodeled Sundial Resort. Great accommodations and amenities. Best beach.Great food in restaurants, especially Waterview. New bicycles, ocean kayaks. Personnel all friendly, helpful, courteous. Excellently managed.

What people might not realize is that Sanibel was hit so much harder than Captiva. Tweenies benefitted from that.
